My mom and dad came for a visit this weekend, and as always we had such a great time. Mason absolutely ATE UP all the attention and playtime from Grandma and Grandpa. He constantly wanted to be playing trucks, was jumping around in excitement, or laughing with sheer silliness while him and grandma played goofy games. He was so wound up he was up until 10PM both Friday and Saturday night, and up bright and early knocking on their bedroom door, saying "Pa-pa, pa-pa!" It was so heart warming to see. I hate the fact we don't live in the same town as both grandparents, so I LOVE that he gets so excited to see them and truly knows who they are. Saturday we had a lovely lunch at Anthony's Beach Cafe at the Edmond Marina. Mason had a grand time walking up and down the marina and taking his cars over all the "bumps" along the way. My mom and dad have a boat they spend every weekend on from May - Oct in a marina on Lake Coeur d'Alene, ID, so they enjoyed the scenery as well. Boating is a love of theirs and they're seriously considering upgrading their 29 foot Bayliner to a 40 foot something they can retire on in a marina over here! It would be a while out yet of course, but it would be wonderful if that panned out. Saturday night, John cooked up some amazing ribs (using Elliott's famous recipe), and we had a feast! It was hard when it was time for them to leave on Sunday. Mason didn't make it any easier on grandma.... every time she would get up and get ready to leave, he would tell her to "sit down" and would pat the couch next to him.
As for everything else, we're hanging in there. Next Thursday will be a month away from my due date! I have definitely started the countdown....Here are a couple pictures they took.... It's a horrible picture of me, but the one of John, Mason, and I was at lunch, Mason playing "trucks" with Grandma, and a pic of daddy with his other baby boy Haus! He often climbs into his lap like that to cuddle; he's much smaller in his own head! :o)
My dad just sent me the picture of him and Mason drawing, it was soo cute I had to add it too!
