I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and ate way too much turkey with fixin's like I did! :o) The diet definitely resumed in full force Friday!
It was our year to stay in town for the holiday and celebrate with the Kieneker family. We always celebrate with John's immediate family, and they alternate between the Kieneker side and the Hammond side. About 20 people were in attendance and it was a great family day to say the least. Even though it was the first major holiday without grandpa Kieneker, it remained very joyous and a fun time was had, as always. If you couldn't guess the Kieneker family is a very close knit group and FULL of characters. Very quick whitted, always ready with a joke, and jump at the chance to poke fun at one another (with the most loving intentions) whenever the opportunity arises. The Hammond side is just as much fun though. I honestly couldn't have married into a better family, unless it was possible to marry into my own - :o)
Peyton had her six month appointment Friday. She is very healthy and progressing just as she should. She weighed 17lbs 8oz and was 28 inches long! Yep, she's officially huge! 95% in height and 90% in weight. That's also thanks to the Kieneker genes. John is one of the shortest men in his family. He has an uncle who is 6'7" and most of the women are around 5'8 as well. She has NOT been a happy camper since the last round of shots, but thankfully, Ibuprofen is our friend!
